Planning The Portrait:
The procedure begins with an initial consultation discussing the size of the portrait and setting of the subject. Clients may use their own favorite photo portrait as the image source. If the client would prefere a fresh image then the client can choose formal or informal attire and settings, indoor or outdoor backgrounds. Together we will survey the preferred location of the final portrait and note any color or compositional elements that need to be addressed in the portrait.
When the client is satisfied with the basic elements of the proposed portrait a second session will be scheduled for photographing the subject in the agreed settings. Please note I prefer to paint subjects in natural lights and shadows as these lend more realism and character to the figure. In our third session we will decide which image is to be painted. At this time a 50% deposit and a signed Commissioned Portrait Agreement is required before work begins.
